The waters you love are polluted.

While we enjoy a great number of lakes and rivers to enjoy around Minnesota, many face significant challenges. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has rated the St. Croix river, one of our state's most scenice waterways, as being impaired. Learn more by clicking here.

You can also view the increase in the number of polluted lakes and rivers at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's website. In 1994, there were 59 impaired waters, while there are 1,099 listed in 2008.

"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to dedicate funding to protect our drinking water sources; to protect, enhance, and restore our wetlands, prairies, forests, and fish, game, and wildlife habitat to preserve our arts and cultural heritage; to support our parks and trails; and to protect, enhance, and resource our lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater by increasing the sales and use tax rate beginning July 1, 2009, by three-eights of one percent on taxable sales until the year 2034?"

On November 4th vote for the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
